Our scheme is part of Peabody s Young People s Service in South London, providing a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 18-25, including care leavers. Many of our residents have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, or substance misuse, and we are here to help them regain stability and independence.

Are You the Right Fit?

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting young people, helping them build independent living skills, and empowering them to achieve their goals. You should be creative and initiative-taking in engaging young people, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and have effective communication and IT skills. Knowledge of safeguarding, support plans, and key working is beneficial, as is experience in housing, education, or a similar sector. Transferable skills from roles in schools or youth work are welcome. Above all, we re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn, and committed to making a real difference.

This is not a care support role, but a practical and emotional support caseworker position. Applicants should demonstrate in their personal statement how they meet the requirements of the role.

What You ll Be Doing

You will play a vital role in supporting young people on their journey to independence. This includes managing a caseload, helping residents with budgeting and benefits, supporting them to access housing options, and creating a positive, non-judgmental environment. You ll bring your unique skills whether in music, sports, art, or another area to engage young people and enrich our community. This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.

Our selection process includes a two-stage interview process:

  • Virtual first-stage interviews: 24 or 25 March
  • Final in-person interview/service visit: 28 March
