Job Description
Project Support Worker Jobs Manchester

I am looking for temps to perm candidates who can hit the ground running, providing housing advice and guidance to 16 - 21-year-olds. Support would be given around housing benefits, registering with services such as doctors, dentists and libraries, life skills such as money management, budgeting, and accompanying appointments. You would also signpost to external resources. Properties are mostly 2-bed properties, but we do have some HMO's, up to 6 beds amongst our stock. Each person receives an average of 5 hours of support per week, although once in college and living independently, this will typically be reduced to 2 hours. Some may require more if they make meetings and appointments. New candidates will receive a week-long induction schedule and support before lone working and managing their own caseloads. They will receive a mobile phone and lone working device. Driving is required, so they must be comfortable driving to and from sites and have satisfactory vehicle insurance for business use. The service is now Ofsted registered. You do not need to level 3 as agency staff, but once you become permanent, you must be willing to start a level 3 childcare qualification. This will be funded by the employer.
