We are delighted to be working with the Glasgow division of our client as the look to enhance their current Technology team with a highly experienced Head of Software Incident Manager.
The right candidate will be responsible for leading the response to critical software incidents across our platforms and applications, ensuring rapid resolution, minimal business impact, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards. This role is crucial in maintaining system resilience, stakeholder trust, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
A large part of this role will be the stakeholder engagement across the business, up to Executive level working closely to keep the CIO and wider Executive stakeholder group across any incidents/resolutions/potential risks.
We are looking for someone with a technical software background who has progressed into a leadership/senior technology role. A breadth of experience in software is useful - this role will sit across a mixture of third party software solutions and bespoke platforms.
First and foremost the absolutely core skills in this role involve leading the wider team to quickly identity any issues and drive them to quick resolution to mitigate business impact.

- Extensive background in software including leadership
- Proven track record leading Major Incidents including leading teams on root cause analysis
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement
- Continuous Improvement
- Regulatory & Risk Awareness - ensure incident documentation and actions comply with internal risk frameworks and external regulatory expectations
- Mentoring & Leadership - play a key role in coaching the wider team on incident management, promoting best practices in operational resilience, and help mature the incident management framework
- Based on site in Glasgow minimum 2 days per week
- Available for the duration of the 12 - 18 month fixed term contract
