About the Role:

This post is strategically and operationally responsible for the commissioning, brokering and delivery of all aspects of travel assistance for eligible Lambeth residents.

To be accountable for the SEND Travel budget, totalling in excess of £5 Million, forecasting spend and regularly reviewing arrangements to ensure efficiencies are sourced wherever possible. Ensuring that any savings plan actions are being followed and targets met.

To be responsible for ensuring that travel assistance arrangements for children and young persons with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are made effectively and efficiently, ensuring existing arrangements are continuously reviewed and sustainable travel options are promoted and adopted where appropriate as the Council's preferred options for travel assistance.
