Job Description

Head of SEND Outreach Support Services

Grade: PO10 (or Equivalent Salary on Soulbury Terms and Conditions)

We are looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, vibrant and creative Head of SEND Outreach Support Services with the skills and experience to join our senior leadership team to help us realise our ambitions. This is a key leadership post that involves a high level of collaboration contact with other leaders from across children's services and our SEND partnership. You will provide support, challenge, and relentlessly focus on improving outcomes for children within SEND within the current challenging landscape. You will have a professional background in delivering services within an educational framework and will hold a small clinical commitment in one of our Outreach teams.

In the SEND Outreach Service, we continue to invest in meeting the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs, Disabilities in Greenwich. We have a dynamic staff team of over 60 staff in 5 teams to enable us to build aspirations, be person centred and focus on realising outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Assistant Director (Inclusion, Learning & Achievement), as well as elected Members and partners including Adult Services, Community Health providers such as Oxleas, public health and the voluntary sector to ensure that Greenwich is a place where every child and young person has the best chance to succeed and where children and families are safe, healthy and thrive.
