- Take over commercial and operational responsibility for E.ON's Short Term Trading in Germany
- Asure robust and compliant operation of the trading and scheduling activities for power and gas
- Develop trading strategies and improve P&L performance throughout all market channels (prompt, DayAhead, Intraday and Anciliary service)
- Monitor and improve our asset backed trading for batteries, renewables or CHP generation
- Drive the development of process automatization, algo and automated trading
- Liaise and align with internal stakeholders (meteorology, algo development, market analytics, renewable sourcing etc.) to strengthen our trading operations
- Ensure 24/7 coverage of shift plans
- Support the personal development of the team members
- Follow regulatory changes and supports E.ON's regulatory teams to shape the energy transition
- Strengthen and build up the relationship between Short Term Trading and partners for market access and spot services inside and outside the E.ON group
- University degree in economics, finance, physics, engineering or a comparable subject.
- Excellent understanding of the German Day Ahead, Intraday and ancillary service markets
- Experience in asset optimization, renewables trading and a deep understanding of physical spot markets
- Combined experience of power and gas trading is of advantage
- Highly entrepreneurial individual with proven track record in P&L contribution.
- Self-motivated, hands-on mentality, strong technical and quantitative skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Fluency in English and German is required
- Experience with 365 day/year and 24/7 shift operation is of advantage
- Willingness to travel and steer a Munich based trading operations
