An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, well-qualified and ambitious teacher or current head of department to join the school to lead our thriving German department on a fixed purpose (maternity cover) contract from 1 September 2025 up to the working day before the permanent post-holder returns.

The key responsibilities of this role will include the provision of effective teaching and learning, the monitoring and evaluation of pupils' work and achievements and ensuring that the department has the leadership and support necessary to build on its already excellent standards. The post-holder will lead a team of two. The ability to teach up to A Level and/or the IB Diploma Programme is essential. The ability to teach an additional language could prove advantageous.

The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.

Accommodation may be available for new staff in a local six-unit property.
