Group FC / Head of Finance - Hospitality - Hybrid Working

Your new company
A well established company in the hospitality industry is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Group Financial Controller / Head of Finance to join their team. They specialise in providing fully furnished apartments for short and long-term stays, designed to offer a home-away-from-home experience with modern amenities and exceptional service. They are currently a rather small company, who are starting to grow very quickly! This company has lovely offices in Central London and a lovely team culture.
Your new role
This company is currently searching for someone to step in as Number 1 in Finance, reporting to the COO, to manage the day-to-day finance function, as well as 2 direct reports.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you must have experience in:

  • Manage the groups invoicing and payment collection process ensuring prompt collection of monies due
  • Manage the purchase ledger and supplier payment process to ensure all payments are made accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Manage payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
  • Complete and submit quarterly VAT returns
  • Supervise and manage financial department staff
  • Motivate and lead reports by clarifying roles and providing feedback
  • Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
  • Collaborate with external accountants and auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulation
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
  • Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
  • Follow heath, safety and environmental guidelines and procedures in respect of personal and Finance department activities
  • Provide regular feedback to the Chief Operating Officer on issues affecting company performance
  • Undertake and other duties specified from time to time by the Chief Operating Officer.
