Group Accountant (German Speaking)

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Group Accountant (German Speaking). The role is a permanent position based in Bern Canton & comes with good office flexibility.

Your Role:

• Hold responsible for consolidation process according to Swiss GAAP FER.
• Provide expertise in Group-wide accounting issues & monitor & implement changes in accounting standards.
• Prepare & further develop consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements) for the attention of management.
• Further develop & automate reporting & consolidation processes.
• Hold responsibility for Transfer Pricing.
• Act as a contact person for auditors, tax consultants & internal departments.
• Provide support for statutory financial statements & external auditing as well as collaboration on other financial issues (taxes, internal audit, M&A, ERP etc ).

Your Skills:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of Financial Accounting including at least 3 years of experience in Group Accounting &/or as an Auditor.
• Strong experience in Swiss GAAP FER & Swiss Accounting Standards.
• Skilled in Consolidation methods.
• Confident in handling Consolidation & ERP systems (eg SAP, Cognos).

Your Profile:

• Completed relevant University Degree in Business Administration or a similar qualification in the field of Finance & Accounting.
• A Certified Public Accountant, Swiss CPA or equivalent training.
• Analytical, structured, self-driven & goal-oriented.
• Open-minded & a team player.
• Fluent English & business proficient German language skills (to at least C1 level) are mandatory requirements.
