Role Specification:

• Carry out duties as requested by the Head Grounds Person to the required standard and within specified time limits.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, and watering.
• Maintain pathways, gardens, lawns, and other outdoor areas to a high standard.
• Operate and maintain various grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
• Assist in landscape projects such as planting new trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Monitor the health of plants and lawns, identifying issues such as pests or diseases, and taking appropriate action.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of outdoor spaces by removing litter and debris.

Person Specification:

Essential

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, and gardening.
• Strong knowledge of horticulture practices, plant care, and groundskeeping techniques.
• Keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of appearance and safety.
• Ability to perform manual labour and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and handle cleaning equipment.

Shift Patterns:

• 40 hours per week
• 5 days out of 7 per week
• Note: Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business
