Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Your new company
Your new company is a dynamic and innovative engineering firm with a strong focus on hands-on production work. With a commitment to developing cutting-edge machinery and equipment, this company is seeking a junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a two-year graduate contract. The company is applying for a grant from Enterprise Ireland to support this role, which will involve working predominantly in production rather than a desk-based environment.
Your new role
Your new role as a Mechanical Engineer will be highly engaging and hands-on, with 90% of your time spent in production. You will work under general guidance and be expected to effectively communicate with other departments, suppliers, and customers. Your role will require a satisfactory knowledge of various engineering fields and departments, a high level of design intent, and engineering aptitude. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is essential, and you must be adaptable to new work practices and procedures, including software. You will also need to have financial acumen related to the company's products, research new developments and innovations, analyse and maintain products, and possess strong problem-solving skills. Working as part of a team, you will assist in improving the manufacturing handovers between departments such as Stores, Sales, Production, Design, and Purchasing.

You should be capable of working under general guidance and effectively communicating with various stakeholders.
