Job Description

The Team

My client is seeking a UX Researcher to join their Insights Services team. They operate as a user experience research agency within Professional Services, providing end-to-end research for their customers.

You will be working with their German Customers.

Job Summary:

You will be leading large and small scale projects for high profile clients, to achieve their goals and deliver actionable insights. You will manage projects end-to-end, which includes gathering requirements, recommending methodology, executing research, analysing the results, writing the report and presenting findings to customers. You will be responsible for both quantitative and qualitative studies. Typical research methods include remote one-on-one usability studies, in depth interviews, card sorting, benchmark testing and more. The right candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment, supporting multiple projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leading a variety of UX research projects
  • Leading internal team and external customer meetings
  • Collaborating with colleagues to solve research challenges
  • Working with the participant recruitment team to develop screeners
  • Writing test scripts, and moderator guides
  • Moderating remote research studies or monitoring unmoderated studies in field
  • Analyzing research findings and creating highlight reel videos
  • Developing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Presenting to customers

Each team member is expected to consistently deliver work of the highest quality, showcasing strong communication skills and adeptness in fostering positive customer relationships. Understanding the strategic business objectives of our clients is imperative, as it guides the formulation of research inquiries, the alignment of research activities, and the formulation of recommendations. Furthermore, team members are encouraged to actively contribute beyond their core responsibilities, supporting both internal and customer-facing initiatives, such as pre-sales efforts, team-building activities, and projects aimed at enhancing templates and refining processes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in UX research, market research, or a related field
  • Knowledge and experience using a variety of qualitative and quantitative user research activities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision in all phases of research, including planning, executing, analysing, reporting, and presenting.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on products and new technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Google Docs Editor Suite, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's in human-computer interaction, human factors, psychology, sociology, etc.
  • Master's or Ph.D. preferred
  • Familiarity with remote research and analysis tools like UserTesting, UserZoom, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, E-Prime, Matlab, R, SPSS, etc.
  • Prior experience working in an agency context

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
