Job Description
Fundraising Manager Hometree is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Fundraiser to join our team. This role will be pivotal in driving our fundraising efforts and growth of our projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about environmental conservation and have a proven track record in fundraising, sales, or a related field. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be central to daily operations while also contributing to planning and expansion in line with Hometree s overall organisational goals. Core responsibilities include:
  • Co-create and implement a robust fundraising strategy to support Hometree's mission and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with the wider Hometree team, volunteers, and stakeholders to align fundraising efforts with organisational goals.
  • Manage donor relationships, including high-net-worth individuals and corporate sponsors.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Prepare high-level supporting documents for presentations and proposals.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and donor contributions.
  • Evaluate the success of fundraising efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure financial efficiency and accountability in all fundraising operations.
Essential Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff, stakeholders, and donors.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful fundraising strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience in strategic planning and aligning fundraising efforts with organisational goals.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess fundraising performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • A passion for environmental conservation and a commitment to Hometree's mission.
Desirable Characteristics & Experience:
  • Background or experience in nonprofit fundraising, sales, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to foster a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.
  • Agile and adaptive, capable of aligning with the organisation's bigger picture and goals.
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-organise, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
The successful applicant must be committed to the ethos and values of Hometree. Applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland.
