We have an opportunity for a Fundraising Assistant to join our fantastic team at Poppyscotland, based in Edinburgh, on a Fixed Term Contract basis until end of September 2025.
You will work to assist with the development and delivery of the programme of fundraising events and activities for Poppyscotland, with a focus on providing an excellent experience at each step of the supporter journey.
Reporting to our Head of Fundraising, key responsibilities will include:
- Assist designated aspects of the programme of fundraising including production of literature, copywriting, event coordination
- Attend fundraising events, providing support for attendees
- Respond to fundraising enquiries and ensure all enquiries are acted upon within the requisite timescales
- Assist with all fundraising department administration, including database input and updating, mail merging, thank you letters, requests for donations, recording of planning and procedures, photocopying and filing
- Collect, manage and record donor data in accordance with relevant legislation and policies

You will be contracted to our Edinburgh Hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the Hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.
This role is working Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, with some flexibility required dependant on activity. Due to the nature of the role, a valid driving licence is an essential requirement. Any offer of employment will be subject to pre employment checks including a PVG check.
