This is a *Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid - Minimum 50% Onsite)* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Consulting company working on *delivering high-value investment dashboard solutions.*.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to join our Dashboarding Squad, a multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering high-value investment dashboard solutions. The squad operates within an Agile Scrum framework (2-week sprints) and fosters an equal, flat-level collaboration between onshore and offshore members.

Mission & Challenges:

The squad is responsible for several Java-based Middleware applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and availability. The complexity of interactions between these applications demands a deep understanding of dependencies and integration points. To meet our quality standards, we emphasize robust development, documentation, and testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Activities:

  • Define business specifications and user stories.

  • Create functional analysis documents.

  • Define and align processes with stakeholders.

  • Identify dependencies and risks.

  • Define release and test strategies.

Collaborative Activities:

  • Contribute to Change Approach definition.

  • Ensure architecture alignment on solutions.

  • Maintain Legal & Compliance alignment on solutions.

Technical Stack:

  • Languages & Frameworks: Java 8, Spring 4/Spring Boot, Kafka, Flink.

  • Testing & CI/CD: Cucumber/Gherkin, JUnit, Jenkins, Wiremock.

  • Database & API: Java SQL Library, HttpEntity/ResponseEntity, Maven.

  • Development Tools: Lombok, Git, Intellij, Octane, Groovy Scripting (Jenkins pipeline).

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Experience:

Mandatory:

  • Strong knowledge of common development languages used in Middleware applications.

  • Excellent understanding of architecture, OS, networking, databases, and Middleware.

  • Familiarity with methods, standards, security procedures, and development tools.

Preferable:

  • Experience with integration across distributed/Mainframe systems.

Business Experience:

Mandatory:

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Preferable:

  • Banking experience, preferably in Investment markets.

  • Experience in highly regulated environments with complex use cases.

  • Ability to create reports and communicate with clients.

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent English (spoken & written).

  • Knowledge of Dutch (NL) or French (FR) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent team spirit and communication skills.

  • Ambition to achieve squad targets.
