The Role:
As a Front End Engineer, you'll be leading the development of responsive, scalable, and high-performance web applications that enhance the user experience. You'll work closely with UX/UI designers, Back End engineers, and product teams to bring our vision to life.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the development of exciting web applications using modern Front End technologies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs while optimising applications for speed and scalability.
- Mentoring junior developers and providing code reviews.
- Staying ahead of industry trends, advocating for best practices, and driving innovation.
- Troubleshooting complex issues and contributing to continuous process improvements.
What we are looking for:
- Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SASS.
- Experience with modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Web Components.
- Solid understanding of distributed architectures and working with APIs.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloudflare).
- Experience with testing strategies and tools (Jest, Karma, Jasmine).
- Passion for performance optimisation, scalability, and user experience.
- Experience in observability and monitoring tools (Datadog, Kibana, Grafana).
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Additional experience desired:
- Experience building microfrontends or self-contained services.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, design systems, or infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Knowledge of Cloudflare Workers and advanced DevOps practices.
