An opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to join us as a Team Manager in the Fostering Service. We are looking for an exceptional and dynamic Team Manager with high energy, enthusiasm and creativity to continue to develop our Outstanding Fostering Service, to ensure we provide Children and Young people with placements of the highest quality to maximise their outcomes.

About the role

As a Team Manager, you will have excellent leadership skills, bringing an ability to balance service priorities and work collaboratively with other service areas and partner agencies.

Building on Lincolnshire Children's Service outstanding performance together with the existing Team Managers, you will lead the operation of the Fostering Service including the Kinship agenda to ensure the delivery of high quality, high performing and cost effective social work and placement services to children, young people, carers and their families in line with the requirements of national legislation and guidance.

You will benefit from a stable, experienced Leadership Team who are committed to creative and innovative change to improve the lives of children and families in Lincolnshire.

About you

We are inviting applications from practitioners, who are seeking their next career progression or from existing Team Managers who are seeking to expand their professional development.

We are looking for someone who will be resilient and confidence in balancing both the daily and longer term aspirations for children in care and the growth and development fostering community.

The role requires effective management of the service in the assessment, supervision and support of foster carers within the legal framework and National Minimum Standards.

  • Will continuously innovate practice using a strengths based and solution focussed approach in a supportive environment to further develop the services. Be creative and ambitious in growing the adopter and fostering community within Lincolnshire and supporting children to achieving their care plans and aspirations for their futures.
  • You will have a good understanding of the legislative context of Safeguarding, Children in Care, Fostering and Adoption including the operational delivery of the Fostering and Adoption Permanence Panels to ensure all services remain compliant whilst being ambitious to develop.
