Join us as a Financial Controller, C&I
- You'll be part of a team with accountability for the franchise reported position on a monthly and quarterly basis for the Commercial & Institutional (C&I) franchise
- We'll look to you to proactively establish and maintain strong working relationships with key partners, customers and stakeholders across Finance and the C&I business
- As a key member of our team, you'll enjoy extensive collaboration and can expect great visibility for you and your work, presenting to the C&I Finance Director (FD) on an at least monthly basis
As a Financial Controller, you'll ensure the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. This will include the balance sheet, profit and loss account, internal and external reporting and other supporting data.
You'll deliver franchise actuals reporting review meetings to the C&I Finance team and the FD, and support the FD through regular reporting cycles. You'll comply with relevant policies and consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business's controls.
Through the course of your work, you'll:
- Help shape the strategy and operating model for financial control, with the overriding objective of establishing and maintaining trust and confidence of customers and stakeholders
- Provide clear and accurate analytical review and challenge
- Lead and drive continuous improvement that supports the strategic direction
- Take the lead on developing the optimal model for the function
- Be responsible for the successful delivery of mandatory and strategic programmes that impact on the key financial reporting outputs
To succeed in this role, you'll bring previous financial control experience, preferably gained in a financial services environment. You'll have worked in a global business, and will hold a professional accounting qualification.
