Financial Accountant - 6 months - INSIDE IR35

Harvey Nash is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant for an interim position with one of our Public Sector clients. This role is pivotal in ensuring the preparation and delivery of the Annual Report and Accounts, as well as coordinating external audit activities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with relevant accounting and financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver the Annual Report and Accounts.
• Coordinate external audit activities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• CCAB or equivalent Qualified Accountant.
• Strong technical skills and experience at a senior level.
• Experience in systems development and implementation.
• Knowledge of pensions accounting under government regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong financial management and analytical skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with Scottish Government's Public Finance Manual and other relevant legislation.

Security Clearance: Disclosure Scotland Basic Disclosure required.
