Finance Manager

About the opportunity We are recruiting for a Finance Manager, reporting into the Finance Controller. This senior role will lead a small number of colleagues within the Financial Accounts team, but act as a stakeholder for the Accounts Payable, FP&A and Commercial Finance teams. Your Impact and Responsibilities Lead and develop a small number of colleagues in the Financial Accounts team, a mixture of graduate, part qualified and qualified accountantsSupport the introduction of store level profit & loss accounts for the next financial yearTake responsibility for the output of a number of key Profit and Loss AccountsTake ownership for a number of critical Balance Sheet reconciliationsEnsure that Balance Sheet control accounts are fully reconciled and that risks and opportunities are quantified and reported on a monthly basisSupport the continued optimisation of the new Oracle Finance systemManagement of the sales ledgerMonth end accruals and prepaymentsMonthly, quarterly and annual Group reportingSupport on company VAT returnsBalance sheet variance analysis, investigation and resolutionSupport for strategic initiativesBusiness partnering a number of key stakeholders across both Finance (Accounts Payable and Commercial Finance) and outside of Finance (Retail, Property, Distribution, Trading etc)Skills and Knowledge Professional Qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACAOracle Fusion experience advantageousExcellent interpersonal skills to forge positive working relationshipsAbility to work logically, consistently and accuratelyRobust modelling and analytical skillsAbility to lead annual audit processes and deliver robust and timely month-endsWhat can we offer?
