Finance Manager - Fixed Term

Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading and well-established services group to recruit an experienced & hands-on Finance Manager, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, for a 9 - 12 months fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will support in overseeing the company's financial data, managing cashflow, reviewing/reporting company performance and taking ownership of the monthly/yearly accounting routine. This fixed-term contract is open to part-qualified/qualified Accountants or qualified by experience applicants.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve the preparation of month-end management accounts including variance analysis with commentaries, quarterly VAT returns, forecasting the company's cash flow position, along with assisting in the annual external audit. You will prepare up to trial balance level statutory accounts, manage the accounts payable function/processes, bank reconciliations, manage supplier payments, along with support the accounts assistants when required. You will be the financial point of contact for queries for the site management team, along with supporting the Group Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects/duties/reporting.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Finance Manager role, you will need experience in a similar position, part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience, with key MS Excel skills and high attention to detail. You will have strong communication skills to partner with both finance and non-financial management, used to managing workloads and meeting deadlines, along with being a team player who can support others within the finance department when required. You will be a strong problem solver, who can use their own initiative and be adaptable to business needs. Experience with Sage 50 finance system would be advantageous but not essential.

This varied Finance Manager position offers a salary up to £45,000 per annum, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, for a fixed-term contract of 9 - 12 months.
