Finance Business Partner (Research & Academic)

Full time-Permanent

Work location: Hybrid

Salary Grade 7 £53,685 -59,730 per annum including London Weighting.

Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner seeking an opportunity to support the finance team achieve its strategic goals?

We have an exciting role within our Finance department, reporting to the Head of Finance where you will play a pivotal role in providing Central with the financial insights, they need to manage leadership and grant-funded research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicating with grant holders and Research and Knowledge Exchange team. Identifying and resolving issues around research grant compliance. Overseeing procurement and purchasing on research grants. Ensuring income is received and invoices raised in a timely manner. Monitoring research grant expenditure and forecasting spend, and resolving issues of concern with grant holders, Finance, and other departments as appropriate. We are looking for people with a background in Finance with proven experience in research-funded project accounting, who will join our team. You will bring a track record of providing professional, collaborative financial support to non-finance colleagues within a diverse organization.
