Your new role
Job Purpose:
To provide accurate divisional financial information and advice to a range of budget-holders, enabling robust financial control and optimal decision-making.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Production of timely, accurate and reliable financial information in line with financial procedures and timetables through completion of your own work and liaison with others.
  • Establish effective working relationships with budget holders, ensuring understanding of financial issues pertinent to their services and assisting them with often complex finance queries
  • Supporting the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) in budget-setting and maintenance of a defined, large portfolio of services, relating to one or more Divisions
  • Support Cost and Income Improvement Programme (CIIP) reporting for a defined portfolio of services

  • What you'll need to succeed
    • GCSE or equivalent/higher standard in English and Maths
    • CCAB/CIMA qualified/part qualified or equivalent experience commensurate with role
    • Experience of working in a finance team
    • Experience of working with financial systems and processes
    • Demonstrate experience in the analysis and assessment of financial and non-financial data
    • Good knowledge of MS word including formatting, tracking changes, inserting objects
    • Very good working knowledge of Excel, including the ability to create/design new financial spreadsheets, using common Excel functions (e.g. formatting, pivot tables, data filters, count, concatenate, sum, sumif, and vlookup)
    • Good analytical skills and ability to analyse and interpret data
    • Very good standards of numerical, written and oral communication
    • Ability to communicate complex financial issues to non-financial personnel
