Your new role
As a trusted and reliable engineer, you will be managing building services repairs and maintenance for a portfolio of schools and education providers across the Taunton and West Somerset region - nothing short of a stunning area to work in!
There is lots of flexibility available in your new job, and you'll be given the freedom to manage your own time and workload. Whilst there is a service to deliver and targets to meet, the council works at a pace that will allow you to do nothing short of a good quality job.
Your role will involve the delivery of a cross-section of engineering works ranging from the delivery of small projects and refurbishments, through to delivery of cyclical maintenance works and resolving repair issues which could be mechanical or electrical in nature.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position, you will need to have at least 5 years' experience working in a similar role covering a full range of building services engineering duties - this could be working for a consultancy, contractor, or a public sector organisation.
In addition, you'll need to hold a HNC / D level qualification, or equivalent.
