Our client, a diversified rural business focused on sustainability, is seeking an experienced Estates, Grounds & Maintenance Manager to oversee their Suffolk-based operations. Position Overview

The Estates, Grounds & Maintenance Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the high-quality appearance of the company's grounds and accommodations, ensuring efficient operations and contributing to the overall success of the business. For this position you will need to be able to live onsite in the 3- bed cottage that is provided.

Responsibilities

• Oversee estates, grounds, and maintenance efforts across the business

• Resolve problems directly or coordinate with third parties

• Ensure machinery is in good working order

• Maintain high-quality appearance of grounds and accommodations year-round

• Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly and effectively

• Monitor safety procedures and efficiencies, instructing staff and contractors

• Manage working patterns and logistics to meet deadlines

Requirements

• High level of attention to detail and pride in work

• Relevant experience in grounds, estate maintenance or Estate management

• Experience using agricultural equipment and understanding equipment upkeep

• Knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace and risk assessments

• Ability to manage own workload and supervise others

• Experience in basic plumbing and electrical maintenance

• Aptitude to learn operating systems
