English Teacher

Your new company
We are currently looking for a passionate and motivated English Teacher to join a secondary school in Sunderland for a temporary position from September to December with possible extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students in English literature and language at the secondary school level.
Your new role
• Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students at the secondary school level
• Assess and evaluate student progress regularly and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes learning

• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students

• Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school events as required
What you'll need to succeed
• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching English at the secondary school level

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
