Job Description
Engineering Manager with a broad level of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Process Engineering.

Your new company:
Hays are delighted to be exclusively representing Warwickshire Oil Storage Ltd (WOSL) in their recruitment of a permanent Engineering Manager at their site in Tamworth. WOSL is a joint venture between Phillips 66 and Prax, and the 50+-year-old terminal is a rail and pipeline-fed road loading facility in the Kingsbury complex oil terminal near Tamworth in the West Midlands.The site consists of 14 above-ground storage tanks with a combined capacity of 67 million litres with 12 separate loading bays and is an upper tier CoMAH site which handles 300 road tankers each day.
You will be joining a strong team of 24 staff who work together to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the terminal.
Your new role:
Reporting to the General Manager and part of the senior leadership team, you will be the technical authority for all engineering matters on site. You will be responsible for the safe operation of the terminal and the development and practical application of engineering & integrity standards. The successful person will ensure all engineering records and critical documents are accurately maintained and kept up to date whilst providing advice and technical support to the whole terminal population. You will have project management responsibility, which includes planning, co-ordinating and overseeing the safe, timely and cost-effective execution of all engineering projects on the WOSL site at all levels of project engineering from site work upwards, which may include the management of contract project engineers as required.The role includes defining, estimating, administering, maintaining and overseeing the company's long-range CAPEX and OPEX major maintenance plans and ensuring CDM requirements for relevant projects are met.

What is required:
The successful applicant will need a wealth of broad engineering experience, ideally within the oil industry. However, applicants are encouraged to apply if you have worked within the petrochemical, chemical, water or nuclear sectors.A broad engineering project background is highly desirable and people with multidisciplined expertise such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Process Engineering are encouraged to apply.CEng qualification is ideal but not essential as time-served skills in this environment will also be considered.You will need to have had experience working in an upper tier CoMAH environment, and it would be desirable to have familiarity with UK and International Standards relevant to the Oil Storage industry.The ability to work within a team and communicate with both site staff, engineers and drivers is essential.
