Job Description
Electrical Quantity Surveyor - Prominent Electrical Contractor - Co Down

Your new company
Our client, a prominent and well-established Electrical Contractor, is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Located in Co. Down, this contractor boasts over 20 years of experience and operates across various sectors such as Data Centres, Pharma, and Commercial throughout the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

Your new role
The duties and responsibilities of the post holder will include, but not be limited to, the following tasks -.

  • Producing monthly valuations for current projects.
  • Assisting in the preparation and evaluation of tenders, including cost estimation and analysis.
  • Formulating and agreeing on final accounts for projects.
  • Preparing variation quotations for projects.
  • Managing project cash flow effectively.
  • Attending project progress and commercial meetings.
  • Recording, reporting, and managing project risks, variations and cost overruns and the overall effect overruns may have on the project.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly cost reports.
  • Communicating effectively with contractors, clients, and site teams.

  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an electrical quantity surveying role
  • Fully proficient in MS Office and QS software.
  • A good knowledge of the construction industry and previous electrical experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadline, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Due to the location of projects, there may be some travel from time to time.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
