Electrical Design Engineer - BMS Specialist Contractor - Newtownabbey

Your new company
Our client is one of Ireland's largest Control Systems Houses, providing a diverse range of market-leading products. They specialise in installing smart controls for managing lighting, heating, refrigeration, and other specialised energy equipment. Due to their ongoing success, they are now looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their design team.

Your new role

  • To take the customers' engineering requirements and design bespoke control panels that can be manufactured in an efficient manner.
  • Liaising with Mechanical & Electrical Contractors on a regular basis.
  • Create electrical schematics to allow the manufacturing team to build the BMS panels.
  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience of working within one of the following - Electrical, HVAC, BMS or Process control.
  • Previous experience of electrical design and engineering.
  • Working knowledge of CAD drawing packages (Eplans, Promis, Solidworks electrical etc).
  • To be able to create schematic drawings that can be manufactured, including systems test and fault-finding.
  • Previous experience of control and instrumentation design would be an advantage.
  • To be able to work to tight timescales to deliver projects on time and within budget.
