Director Procurement Strategy & Programmes (f/m/d)

We are seeking a strategic leader for the role of Director of Procurement Strategy & Programmes. This position involves advocating for our Procurement department at the highest levels, developing global strategies, and leading cross-functional teams without direct authority. If you have a Master's in Business or Economics/Finance, extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and strong project management skills, we encourage you to apply.

What you can expect:
  • You act as a strategic leader, advocating for the Procurement department with the leadership team, boards, and investors, ensuring interests and initiatives are well represented.
  • You guide and lead cross-functional teams in an international setting, promoting cooperation and collaboration without direct authority oversight.
  • You develop and oversee the global procurement strategy, including direct and indirect procurement, aligning with group targets and continuously refining the approach.
  • You coordinate and conduct monthly business reviews, ensuring strategic insights and discussions are at the forefront with the team.
  • You track and analyze key metrics for Procurement and External Supply Organization (ESO), overseeing performance and making strategic decisions to meet savings targets.
  • You manage and align project pipelines, particularly in indirect procurement, collaborating closely with finance partners to evaluate and execute business cases effectively.
  • You prepare and align the annual budget for global Procurement and ESO with the organization's strategic priorities and overall goals.
  • You oversee mergers and acquisitions, assessing the integration of new portfolios or organizations within STADA's procurement framework to ensure compatibility and alignment with established practices and strategies.
Who we are looking for:
  • You hold a master's degree in Business or Economics/Finance and bring 5-7 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in procurement or supply chain.
  • You possess proven project and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective cross-functional work in a global and dynamic setting.
  • You have experience facilitating workshops and are skilled in interacting with top management, showcasing excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • You are results-driven and solution-oriented, approaching complex issues independently with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • You are a strong team player with the capability to lead without authority and leverage team diversity effectively.
  • You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, fluent in English and German, with a firm grasp of data analysis to support strategic decisions; additional language skills are an advantage.
