Director of Fundraising and Supporter Development

Help make a difference to people living with a life-limiting illness

Location: Warwick or Coventry with hybrid working (1-2dpw from home)

Salary: c£80,000 per annum

The Myton Hospices is a much-loved and well supported charity on a transformative path, evolving how we develop our services and relationships in and with our local community. A ground-breaking approach to generating voluntary funds is critical if we are to continue providing exceptional specialist care and support more people who have a life-limiting illness, from the point of diagnosis to end of life.

This redefined role offers an experienced fundraising professional the opportunity to drive strategies to secure increased support from across Coventry and Warwickshire and develop innovative donor loyalty programmes to ensure Myton s continued place in the hearts and minds of the local community. As our Director of Fundraising and Supporter Development you will have scope to shape The Myton Hospices Fundraising operation and to lead a high performing team to even greater success.

About the role

You will lead a team of 23 fundraisers (6 direct reports), with plans to increase fundraised income from £3.6 million to £4.4 million per annum over the next 3 years, through your focus on Community, Individual Giving, Events and Lottery; areas which all have potential for growth.

Your role will require:

  • Visionary, Strategic leadership to develop and deliver long term strategies for Fundraising securing significant voluntary income that will help Myton to sustainably achieve our vision to reach and support more people across Coventry and Warwickshire with life limiting illnesses
  • Inspirational team development & leadership to grow an ambitious, collaborative and innovative directorate with the capabilities to develop increasing funding opportunities
  • Broad cross-organisational engagement including with other directors to identify market trends, develop campaigns and initiatives and optimise opportunities to generate maximum long-term value from supporter partnerships.

About you

  • An innovative change-agent with proven skills in developing high level fundraising and leading strategic projects
  • A motivational leader who develops high performing teams, sets clear direction and strategic vision
  • Core negotiating, influencing and long-term supporter relationship development and business prospect research skills
  • Skilled in using, developing and implementing performance metrics and income analysis
