Director of Community Engagement and Global Impact
Posted 3 hours 50 minutes ago by Atlantic Institute
The Atlantic Institute, established in 2016 at Rhodes House, Oxford, serves as the convening hub for the global Atlantic Fellows program. Working in partnership with seven Atlantic Fellows programs worldwide, the Institute connects and supports over 1000 Fellows who are advancing fairer, healthier, and more inclusive societies. Through its work, the Institute catalyses collaboration among Fellows and amplifies their impact in addressing systemic inequity and advancing social justice across borders and disciplines.
We are now seeking a visionary Director of Community Engagement and Global Impact to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of strategies for community building, collective influence, and sustained impact across the global Atlantic Fellows community. This is a crucial time as the Institute implements changes to significantly enhance its ability to foster and generate opportunities for collective solutions to systemic causes of inequity across disciplines and borders.
Based in Oxford, UK, the role will enable the Institute to review and demonstrate how it engages with issues of strategic relevance, inspires learning and collaboration across primary stakeholders, and harnesses capabilities and resources to contribute purposefully to long-term systemic change. Leading a dynamic team, the Director will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and improving the Institute's flagship initiatives.
We seek a senior leader with extensive experience in international organisations or networks, with a proven track record in transformative community building and programming for impact. The ideal candidate will have expertise in innovative approaches to transnational and intersectional solidarity, combined with keen insight into achieving and sustaining change in a complex world. They must demonstrate strong analytical, interpersonal, and implementation skills, along with excellent communication abilities and a commitment to continuous learning.
The successful candidate will bring significant leadership experience in building high-performing, multicultural teams and strategic planning at a senior level. They must be passionate about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and demonstrate values-based leadership that aligns with the Institute's commitment to fairer, healthier, and more inclusive societies. A post-graduate qualification in a thematic area relevant to the Atlantic Fellows mission, public sector, or business management is desirable but not essential.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, they will ensure the Institute delivers its plans and strategically works to realise its vision, while establishing productive relationships across the Institute and driving collaboration between the Atlantic Institute, Atlantic Fellows programmes, Rhodes Trust, and other Network for Good partners.
