MI5, MI6 and GCHQ are the UK's Intelligence Services. We work together to safeguard Britain's people, interests and businesses from various threats at home, overseas and online, including cyber-attacks, espionage, terrorism, and organised crime. Working across our vital missions, you'll deliver impact at the heart of national security, all within a supportive and inclusive environment that allows everyone to thrive.
The Corporate Services is a multi-functional team delivering People, Commercial, and Finance shared services for MI5, MI6 and GCHQ. They provide our partners faster and easier access to the right talent and capability, increased diversity, and also help our customers spend their money more efficiently and effectively. Now, we're looking for a new Director General to lead the function into a high-performing and fast-evolving future.
You'll be stepping into this role at a significant time, as we seize opportunities and manage risks of the digital age. The team has delivered a multi-phase and multi-year transformation - including the deployment of a suite of new technologies centred on a single share Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. You'll support the next phase - essential to us staying ahead of the threats that the UK faces - helping to deepen partnerships across the Services to fully embrace and embed these business changes.
Utilising your strong influencing skills and solutions-focused approach, you'll stabilise and promote the benefits of our services, while challenging the status quo. You'll lead the strategy for the next generation of Corporate Services, adapting the operating model and exploiting new digital opportunities. All while developing a team of professionals, passionate about the part they play in our crucial work.
To be successful in the role, you'll be innovative, adaptable and have excellent stakeholder management skills. You'll need a strong background leading corporate services and service delivery, as well as building sustainable professional partnerships across diverse cultures and legacies. You will also have demonstrable experience leading high-performing teams.
You should have a proven track record of enabling cultural change, leading the adoption of new systems and processes, and driving continuous improvements. Previous experience working within the public sector will come in handy for this role but is not necessary. However, experience leading in a multi-tiered complex matrix environment and achieving Value for Money outcomes is essential.
