Posted 10 days 23 hours ago by Garfield Weston Foundation
The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the largest and most successful family-run Foundations in the UK. It gives away around £100m a year to charities to deliver their vital work across the UK. Since it was established, the Foundation has donated over £1.5 billion, of which over half has been given away in the past 10 years. It supports a wide range of charities that make a positive difference, working in sectors including welfare, youth, community, environment, education, health, arts, heritage and faith. The Foundation's philosophy, and that of the Weston family, underpins its distinctive approach. It is founded on respect, humility and trust combined with a straightforward and transparent approach to supporting communities across the UK. This is a very special leadership role. The Director plays a unique role in the charity landscape. Alongside the Chair and Deputy Chair, the Director represents the Foundation to stakeholders, and is responsible for leading a small, dedicated and high-performing team. Candidates for the role can bring leadership experience from any sector. Above all, the successful candidate will share the philosophy of the Foundation and bring a passion for the charity sector.
