This role reports to: Director of Digital Transformation
Location: Liverpool City Region. Hybrid working available, working base will be an office location in Liverpool city centre with option of working from home up to 3 days a week. Requirement to attend 1 day bimonthly at Head Office in Coventry. Additional travel throughout the country and overnight stays may be required.
Contract: Permanent / Full Time: 37.5 hours a week.
Salary: £42k
About the role
This is a new position at the NCF that will support our collaboration with the University of Liverpool, establishing a social care testbed as part of the Liverpool City Region Life Sciences Innovation Zone Programme, part of the Government's national Investment Zone Programme.
You will work alongside the University of Liverpool and broad-ranging stakeholders, including industry partners, to benefit nonprofit adult social care providers and the people they support. You will lead on creating and delivering a new digital skills programme for adult social care within the LCR which can be upscaled and delivered throughout the UK. You will also lead on the wider adult social care workforce digital skills development agenda for NCF.
What you will be doing in this role
Responsible for successfully delivering a Digital Skills Programme as part of NCF's collaboration with the University of Liverpool to establish a social care testbed in the LCR and for the creation of new digital skills programmes which can benefit NCF Members in other regions.
Establishing and supporting Communities of Practice for digital skills programme participants at a local, regional and national level whilst exploring the scope to, also, deliver training and support to care providers at an international level.
Working with the University of Liverpool to explore and develop appropriate new accredited digital skills qualifications for adult social care.
Developing links with wider/external education and learning and development organisations both locally and nationally.
Support the project management and delivery of NCF's Care Technologist training programme.
Support the ongoing development and delivery of the Digital Leadership Programme, working in partnership with Skills for Care.
Take the lead within NCF on the digital skills development of the adult social care workforce, responding to existing and emerging digital technologies.
Horizon-scanning to identify potential funding opportunities to grow this area of work and completion of relevant bid applications to secure additional funding.
Provide robust project management, with responsibility for monitoring, reporting and evaluating projects.
Be involved in the design and delivery of training to a range of participants, including the digital leadership and care technologist programmes.
Work with the wider NCF team to support internal and external communications about the development of new digital skills programmes.
The skills we will be looking for
Strong project management skills.
Previous experience of developing and delivering a skills programme or further education qualification.
Ability to successfully deliver training programmes, both online and face to face.
Ability to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders to strengthen and facilitate project deliverables.
Understanding of co-production and ability to empower and support those with lived experience to participate and inform the design of new digital skills programmes.
Ability to facilitate and coordinate meetings and/or workshops with a range of stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time, competing pressures and conflicting priorities.
Research and analytical skills.
A confident IT user who has experience using Zoom and Microsoft 365's Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams and Forms.
Ability to work as a member of a range of in person and virtual multi-disciplinary teams.
The desirable skills you might have
Knowledge of the ethical implications of technology in care.
Knowledge of the skills required for using digital technologies in care.
Detailed understanding of the adult social care sector.
A training qualification.
