Digital Platform Experience Lead
6 month Freelance Contract
Hybrid - 2 days per week
Amsterdam

The Digital Platform Experience Lead will own the planning, executing, and evaluation of digital projects according to team standards, agreed deadlines, and within budget. This role requires effective communication, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring alignment across teams and vendors.

Importantly, a technical background is essential for making informed decisions and effectively collaborating with development teams, understanding the intricacies of digital platforms, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

The goal of this role is to support the delivery of the Product Roadmap of our Content Platform, enabling an improved experience and success of our accommodation partners. The Digital Platform Experience Lead will also be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of key elements of marketing campaigns (specifically focused on designing and building Landing Pages).

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including technical scope, development and testing timelines - in balance with available resources and budget.
  • Collaboration & Project execution: Work closely with the Digital Partner Content teams, other cross functional teams and Vendor(s) to ensure timely delivery, while fostering a collaborative supportive environment.
  • This can include the writing of stories and acceptance criteria that will then be assigned to a Sprint.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for your projects. Facilitate and participate in regular meetings, provide updates on status, and address any concerns that arise from development teams but also non-technical stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and report project performance, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to maintain project integrity. This will include the planning and facilitation of testing cycles to ensure bugs and issues are addressed before releases of new features and other platform changes.
  • Documentation: Maintain project and platform documentation, including plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future work.
  • Vendor/budget management: Ensure smooth invoice process and support the positive relationships with vendors, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve mutual goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing, Business Management, Project Management or similar field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a digital project manager or similar role, looking after end delivery of features/products across an entire digital/web development cycle
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or other project management methodologies
  • Experience preparing and maintaining product roadmaps and timelines
  • Good understanding of content management systems (preferably Drupal)
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective leadership skills to support an environment for high-functioning, productive and engaged teams to operate
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed Understanding of financial management principles and experience with budget oversight
