Expert xR training applications in Cleanroom environment

Initial 6 month contract + extensions

Leuven, Belgium (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
Our client provides the flexibility to work both from their offices in Leuven and remotely from home. This to maintain a healthy work-life balance while being an integral part of our team.

Our client is looking for an Expert xR (VR, AR, simulations) for training applications in Cleanroom environment to investigate the feasibility of using VR/AR/simulations in their Cleanroom training programs. This entails a requirements analysis, a business case development and the definition of a proof of concept. In case of a positive outcome, the VR/AR/simulation will be implemented and incorporated into their Cleanroom training programs.

The assignment
1. Requirements Analysis:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as trainers, cleanroom users and facilities, and external stakeholders such as equipment vendors, providers of xR solutions, and subject matter experts) to gather and analyse requirements for educational digital twins and virtual training solutions.
  • Translate educational needs into technical specifications and functional requirements.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and defining learning outcomes.

2. Feasibility Study:

  • Assess the technical and financial feasibility of proposed digital twin- or virtual training solution projects.
  • Analyse potential risks, challenges, and opportunities associated with the implementation of these technologies.
  • Provide recommendations based on feasibility findings to guide decision-making.

3. Business Case Development:

  • Develop comprehensive business cases that justify the investment in educational digital twin or virtual training solutions.
  • Present cost-benefit analyses, projected ROI, and potential impact on learning outcomes.
  • Provide a plan for successful adoption of the digital learning solutions in the organization.

4. Proof of Concept (PoC) Creation:

  • Design and develop proof of concept models to demonstrate the viability and effectiveness of digital twin or virtual training solutions.
  • Establish a project team to prototype and test these solutions in real-world educational scenarios.
  • Gather feedback from users to refine and improve the PoC before full-scale implementation.

Required knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in educational technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing digital learning solutions, particularly digital twins or virtual training environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with requirements analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Experience in business case development and project management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with educational methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.
