The in-house operationThe IT department is responsible for and designs the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs. As part of the IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure the IT operations of the City of Munich with over 1,200 employees in our own company
What you can expect Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the operation and further development of the load balancer and web application firewall environments at the City of Munich.
Your tasks are in particular the installation, configuration and administration of several clusters of load balancers and WAFs as hardware and on a virtualized basis. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring and system tuning and develop measures and concepts for the progressive automation of processes. You will also update operating concepts, prepare documentation and advise our internal city customers on the integration of new services into the above-mentioned landscape. You will also be responsible for the regular review of WAF policies and for coordinating and advising on the mitigation of identified security gaps.

- a successfully completed university degree in computer science, administrative informatics or business informatics or
- a successfully completed university degree or equivalent skills and experience
and
- many years (at least three years) of professional experience in the design and operation of security-relevant technologies (e.g. (reverse) proxy or web application firewall systems)
- Specialist knowledge: in IT security management, security monitoring and security analysis, experience in programming with Python or Perl or another scripting language, knowledge of OWASP TOP 10, good knowledge of the HTTP protocol and the various components of modern web applications
- Result and goal orientation, especially technical problem-solving skills
- Communication skills
- Knowledge of the Linux command line
- CCNA certification or comparable qualifications
