Design Technology Technician Role Overview:

• Set up and manage materials, resources, and equipment to support teaching and enhance student learning in Design Technology.
• Ensure all necessary equipment is ready for teacher demonstrations and student projects.
• Maintain classroom displays with current students' project work and artefacts.
• Offer technical advice and assistance to staff and students during lessons and projects.
• Oversee storage of tools, equipment, and student project files.
• Copy and distribute worksheets and materials as required for lessons.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines.

Design Technology Technician Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar technician role, ideally within an educational setting.
• Proficient in handling and maintaining Design Technology tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations concerning workshop tools and materials.
