We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join a secondary school located near Sunderland. For this job, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching within the Design and Technology department, with a focus on woodwork. If you are passionate about teaching Design and Technology, with a particular emphasis on woodwork, and have the relevant qualifications and experience, we would love to hear from you!
Your new role
- Delivering high-quality teaching to students in Design and Technology, with a particular emphasis on woodwork.- Planning and preparing schemes of work and lessons that meet the needs of individual students.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Organising and participating in extracurricular activities, such as clubs and competitions.
- Contributing to the overall ethos, work, and aims of the school.
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in Design and Technology or a related field.- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience as a Design and Technology Teacher, with a particular emphasis on woodwork.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- The ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
- Experience of working with students of different abilities and backgrounds.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- £150 - £251 - paid to scale
