We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Deputy Headteacher with a strong background in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to join our team and support our mission of fostering early childhood development and education.
Responsibilities:As the Interim Deputy Headteacher, you will play a vital role in the leadership and management of our nursery school. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership:
    Assisting the Headteacher in the overall leadership and management of the school.
  • EYFS Expertise:
    Leading the development and implementation of a high-quality EYFS curriculum tailored to the needs of children aged 2-4.
  • Staff Credibility:
    Drawing on your experience of teaching nursery-aged children to mentor and support staff, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and care.
  • Parental Engagement:
    Building strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning, and implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Compliance:
    Ensuring the school meets all statutory requirements and maintains high standards of health and safety.
  • Interim Role:
    Providing stability and continuity during the interim period, ensuring a smooth transition for staff and students.

Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Qualifications:
    A relevant degree and a recognised leadership qualification.
  • Experience:
    Proven experience in a leadership role within an early year or nursery school setting, specifically with children aged 2-4.
  • EYFS Knowledge:
    A thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and current best practices in early childhood education.
  • Skills:
    Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
