Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team at Spectrum Smiles. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring that the dental practice runs smoothly. This position requires excellent organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients.
We are committed in developing the skills of our nursing team are offering funded training opportunities for Implant, Sedation and Orthodontic nursing.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
- Provide chairside support to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively.
- Ensure that all dental equipment is sterilised and maintained according to health and safety regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a high standard of patient care is consistently delivered.
Skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management.
- A caring attitude towards patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit.
