Job Description

University of the Arts London (UAL) is a world-leading creative university for teaching and research in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts. UAL is made up of six renowned colleges and hosts several institutes that further the university's mission. Under the leadership of our President and Vice-Chancellor, we are designing the University around social purpose; through the students and ideas we send out into the world, and the partnerships we build to achieve social, environmental, and economic progress.

UAL Online is an exciting new division which has been established to enable access to the university's world leading creative arts education to audiences around the globe. We plan to launch with a suite of new postgraduate degree courses starting from the 2025/26 academic year.

As a Delivery Manager within the UAL Online division, you will oversee the successful implementation of various complex business and/or technology initiatives, key to achieving the UAL Online strategic objectives.

You will ensure defined customer needs are met and initiatives are delivered on time and to budget, whilst working with cross functional delivery teams and key stakeholders to deliver and embed change. You will take a service-oriented approach to the delivery of change and ensure the University's service needs are met through the continued development of product roadmaps.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Your profile

  • Experience of working within large organisations to deliver full project/product life cycle change, following Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven experience of delivering IT and business change, Matrix managing project teams, and working with operational teams to embed new services in the live environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to negotiate resources and prioritise requirements and communicate across a diverse audience.
  • Experience of prioritising workloads across multiple projects, organising time and resources effectively; creating detailed work schedules, and prioritising the activities needed to drive the project forward
  • High level, proven interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a Matrix team of project and operational professionals.
  • Experience of project governance, including relationship management with sponsors and influencers
