Job Description

We are seeking a Data/Reporting Manager with recent FE (Further Education) experience and EBS (Education Business Systems) expertise to join a leading educational institution. This role plays a pivotal part in managing and developing data reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data & Reporting Leadership: Manage data validation, reporting, and extraction processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency across all campuses.
  • Reporting Development: Implement and enhance reporting policies across multiple databases, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Business Process Management: Define and update business processes, with a focus on improving data accuracy for funding and reporting.
  • Data Accuracy & Validation: Develop protocols to ensure the consistency and accuracy of funding-related data.
  • Technology Integration: Stay updated on IT advancements to drive continuous improvement and ensure the organization remains at the forefront of data management.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with curriculum leaders and senior management to ensure data accurately reflects performance and funding delivery.
  • Dynamic Reporting: Produce comprehensive reports in various formats, ensuring accessibility for staff across the organization.
  • Audit & Compliance: Ensure all reporting complies with GDPR, DPA, and other regulatory requirements. Manage audit processes efficiently.
  • Funding Returns: Oversee the preparation, validation, and submission of all funding returns to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Recent FE Experience: This is essential. Only candidates with recent Further Education experience will be considered.
  • EBS Expertise: Strong working knowledge of EBS systems is a must.
  • Proven Leadership Skills: Experience in managing a data team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of data integrity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IT systems used for data reporting and analysis.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GDPR, DPA, and funding regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization.

This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days of remote work per week, but regular on-site presence will be required due to staff management responsibilities and working across campuses.
