Job Description

We're hiring a Data Scientist with expertise in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) for our energy client. In this hybrid role, you'll drive data-driven strategies, build and update MMM models, analyse marketing spend, and deliver actionable insights. Based in Windsor with travel once a fortnight. Salary up to £75K, plus bonus and up to 10% pension.

Description

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  1. Developing and Updating MMM Models: Work closely with the team to build and refine Marketing Mix Models (MMM) for the client's products, ensuring they align with business goals.

  2. Data Analysis: Analyse large datasets to measure the impact of marketing spend on key business outcomes such as sales and customer acquisition.

  3. Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights, creating presentations and reports to communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders.

  4. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including commercial, finance, marketing, and data science, to drive business decisions based on data.

  5. Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist in additional data-related projects as needed by the business, contributing to ongoing data initiatives and strategies.

  6. Deadline Management: Ensure projects are completed on time and meet business requirements.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Experience in Econometrics and MMM: At least 3 years of experience in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) and econometrics, with a strong ability to analyse the effectiveness of marketing spend.

  2. Strong Analytical Skills: Expertise in handling large datasets, applying statistical methods, and using programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL to derive insights from data.

  3. Effective Communication: The ability to present complex data analysis in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders, tailoring communication to different audiences.

  4. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a keen ability to spot patterns and anomalies in data to drive informed decision-making.

  5. Team Player: Comfortable working in an open, collaborative environment with a mix of introverts and extroverts, and able to contribute to both independent and team-based projects.

  6. Adaptability: A proactive, inquisitive mindset, eager to tackle new challenges, and a passion for learning and growing within a dynamic environment.

  7. Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of media planning, marketing, and promotions, with insight into their commercial impact.
