Therole/team
We'd love you to come and join ushere in the Metadata & Compliance team - a part of the FinanceBusiness Unit Data Office (BUDO) within the Finance Data &Analytics Office!

TheMetadata & Compliance Team manages Data Quality Rules, Metadataand Data Lineage for the Finance Business Unit.

The role will involve engaging and closely collaborating withour diverse group of partners across Finance and the widerorganisation, to bring them on the journey of understanding ourmost important processes and ensure that Data Quality iseffectively monitored and managed and Metadata is appropriatelydocumented.

Metadata enables us to buildData Lineage - a map of how our data flows through our systems andwhat data is consumed at each step, which gives the FinanceBusiness Unit confidence that we understand where our mostimportant data comes from and how it is controlled and allows us toapply effective Data Quality Rules over this data, to ensure itsquality end-to-end.

You'll work with manydifferent teams across Finance and other areas, such as our CentralData & Analytics Office (CD&AO), 2nd line Risk functionsand Group Internal Audit.

Keyresponsibilities

  • ManagingData Quality Rules in our strategic profiling and Data QualityRules tool -Ataccama.

  • Seeking out newdata sources and obtaining data to feed into our Data Qualitymonitoringprocesses.

  • Building new datafeeds and Data Quality rulesets into our instance of Ataccama, toensure we have coverage across our keyprocesses.

  • Managing Metadataand Data Lineage in our strategic metadata repository tool -Collibra.

  • Partnering anddeveloping relationships with key people and teams across Financeand other business teams to understand their processes and data forinclusion in ourprocesses.

  • Supporting ouroperational processes around Data Quality Controls, Data QualityRules, periodic reviews of our Metadata, reviewing inbound changeimpacts and more.

  • Creatingand delivering reporting information for our key data forums andsenior management.

  • Ensurecontinued compliance to BCBS239 and our Group DataPolicy.

What you'll need

  • Strong peoplemanagement and communication skills, both written and verbalincluding creating and delivering presentations to tell compellingstories.

  • Can workcollaboratively with a diverse group of partners and take them onthe journey as Finance and the Group as a whole move forwards withour Data Managementstrategy.

  • Understands thevalue of data, data quality, policies and procedures and cananalyse, capture and help build Data Quality assurance overdata.

  • A strong track recordof delivery and understands how the Group delivers change and theimportance of continuous improvement against a constantly evolvinglandscape.

  • Can deliver atpace using agilemethodologies.

  • Can analyseand interpret data and manage the efficient and effectiveproduction ofinformation.

  • The ability toprioritise tasks and manage their time effectively to meetdeadlines and achievegoals.

Andany experience of these would be reallyuseful

  • DataManagement tools, such as Ataccama orCollibra.

  • Tableau or PowerBI reportingtools.

  • Microsoft Excel andPowerpoint.

  • Change delivery,including traditional and agilemethodologies.
