Data Protection Officer - London - £95,000 + Car Allowance + Exceptional Bonus/Package

Data Protection Officer required to join an iconic multi-site retail client in a challenging new role with the opportunity to make a real impact.

The Data Protection Officer will be a subject matter expert and lead their data privacy strategies and implementation across the UK and multiple European territories.

Reporting directly into the Group CIO in the UK and with the support of local in-country experts across European territories, the Data Protection Officer will be responsible for designing and driving forward best-in-class data privacy strategy.

The Data Protection Officer will take ownership of developing, maintaining, and implementing the global privacy program, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of privacy awareness by designing and managing comprehensive training programs while implementing robust processes to handle data subject rights effectively.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in privacy, compliance and data protection leadership role
• Knowledge and experience of UK and European Privacy Regulations (In Country support provided for European territories)
• Proficiency in GDPR and other relevant regulations
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) Preferred

Location: West London (4x a week onsite)

Salary: £95,000 + Car Allowance + Exceptional Bonus/Benefits package
