Data Protection & Privacy Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Client Project Delivery

  • Lead consulting engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Oversee privacy & data protection projects, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide advisory services in transformation, risk management, and operating model design.
  • Manage project governance, risks, and stakeholder engagement.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and mentor junior consultants, supporting their professional growth.
  • Guide teams to align with client objectives and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in GDPR, privacy, and compliance initiatives.

Business Development & Thought Leadership

  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposals.
  • Build strong client relationships and position the firm as a trusted partner.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in privacy, transformation, and strategy consulting.
  • Meet individual revenue and performance targets.

Skills & Expertise:

Personal Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Ideally 5+ years in management consulting, business transformation, or privacy compliance.
  • Expertise in GDPR, data protection and regulatory advisory.
  • Experience managing consulting projects and leading client engagements.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Law, Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/M, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001) are advantageous.

Technical & Analytical Skills (at least 2-3 of the following)

  • Privacy & Data Protection (EU/UK GDPR, global regulations).
  • IT & Cybersecurity (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT).
  • Risk & Compliance (audits, compliance reviews).
  • Business Transformation (process improvement, operating model design).
  • Ideally Data Analytics & Reporting (insight-driven decision-making).

Communication & Project Management

  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in workshops, presentations, and report writing.
  • Knowledge of Agile, PRINCE2, and Microsoft Office Suite.
