Job Description

Role: Data Governance Lead - Digital

Contract: Outside IR35 £350 - £400 per day until March 2025

Organisation: NHS - MUST have previous NHS experience

Location: Remote - some occassional onsite requirements

The Data Governance Lead is responsible for managing the development, implementation and maintenance of compliance and governance frameworks across the Trust digital Programme. As the Data Governance lead you will be part of the Programme Executive Team reporting directly to the Programme Manager. The post holder will have operational oversight of all projects within the compliance and/or governance frameworks ensuring they are planned, managed and evaluated in a timely and effective way to ensure high quality of delivery.

It is essential that you have highly developed communication skills as a means to manage the complex and challenging messages effectively. The post holder will be expected to represent the Programme Executive Team at senior internal/external meetings.

Below will be your key responsibilities;

  • Support root cause analysis investigations for serious incidents, in line with Trust procedure.
  • Participate in, lead or facilitate investigations as directed by the Programme Manager. This will include communicating complex, sensitive and contentious information, planning and undertaking meetings that may be necessary, ensuring confidentiality at all times. To produce reports detailing the investigations findings and recommendations.
  • Undertake thematic analysis of reported incidents.
  • Ensure that lessons from any concerns raised are identified and that there are effective processes in place for sharing these across the organisation.
  • To ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, policies and procedures and all corporate policies.
  • Liaise with the Programme Executive Team to manage the risk registers and monitor progress of action plans.
