We are a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides school improvement and related services to schools and other education providers across London and beyond. Our services span school improvement and curriculum support, attendance, inclusion and SEND, careers and work experience, governor services, ECT support, ICT, and continuing professional development.
Summary:
- This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week.
- The salary range for this position is between £38,000 and £40,000, contingent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications. Exceptional candidates may be offered the higher end of this range.
- Workdays are Monday to Friday.
- You will work remotely most of the time but will be required to attend meetings and training at the BDSIP office in Dagenham.
- Both full time and part time working opportunities will be considered for the successful candidate.
What we are looking for:
- A passion for education and proven data analysis experience.
- The ability to operate both independently and effectively as part of a team, being able to work at a fast pace while maintaining extremely high standards and attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of statistical concepts and enthusiasm for continuing development to help drive and improve the excellent education data services we provide to Barking and Dagenham schools.
- Highly effective interpersonal and presentational skills to engage a wide range of stakeholders across school, the Council, BDSIP and our delivery partners.
Key responsibilities:
- Complete statutory management information returns, ensuring data is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Keep abreast of government statutory education data requirements and briefing schools and other stakeholders on key changes and developments.
- Analyse a wide range of education data, including School Census, Attainment, Absence and Exclusions to draw out actionable insights.
- Update management information dashboards to monitor important performance indicators, including trends over time, and developing these to enhance the service offer.
- Manage information systems, carrying out quality assurance checks and maintaining user profiles.
- Respond to education information requests, often including in depth analyses, and ensuring that tight deadlines are met.
- Work effectively across teams, including schools, Local Authority and BDSIP to share analytical expertise and knowledge to maintain and improve excellent service standards.
- Represent BDSIP at relevant regional and national meetings to learn from others and share best practice.
- Provide emergency cover for the Management Information Systems (MIS) support desk.
